Surrealism Photography

My digital photography assignment…was a montage. Thanks to the angel who saved my life(yes, I live around the angels), Andi for borrowing me his camera :D Well. This is ‘Seniman dari Mimpi’. Simple concept, just about creativity(though I made a very long essay about it…lol). I made the ‘invisible man’ and the model(waw) are Andi and Unang (thanks to you two!).

The idea came when they were having a painting minor class. So they don't have to pose for it(except Unang who has a very high awareness of the camera). The backgrounds are a mixing landscape of trees and clouds, editing in Photoshop, captured by a pocket camera last year.

So if you had addlebrained, open your eyes and look around you. There are many things that you never recognize are very extracting and possible to give you inspirations.

Digital Photography always makes me panic... 1.because I don't have a digital camera 2.because I'm very inexpert in taking a picture -_-;

The fifth project in my class was a still life monochrome-black and white photo. I fell asleep and passed the class (as usual), so I didn't know what the task was about until the next day. I had 2days to give the photos for ACC. ops... I won't make it.

So I opened my last year photo files on my computer, and edited it in Photoshop into black and white. The picture above is from my project in fourth semester, took with AE1 Canon analog camera, while the other one was taking with pocket camera...

If you didn't have enough time for your project, open your own work files and look if it can be used for the new project. Don't ever crossed in your mind to use somebody else work except for montage :P

This project was a hell(hell yes I always said that). I thought I wasn't gonna make it on time. But thanks to my friends, Cheta and Dhejih, GOD sent them to my house on Tuesday to help me...;D

This is an easy listening compilation, BEST SONGS WHEN RAIN. A compilation that really nice to be heard when rain comes. Contains 4cds: oldies, now, asian, and instrument. Target markets are teenagers and old people.

I bought a new umbrella, cut the stem with an insult... stabbed it onto the box...simply just because I used the rain theme, and it makes it easier to be carried…
I used black linen, carton, artpaper, transparent sticker, silver paper, and of course, the umbrella stem :P

Re-Package it !

The question is ‘Do you like sunflower seed?’. 

Nope, let’s change the question...’Do you ever eat sunflower seed?’. Many people doesn’t even know what is that…(I’m hyperbolized it, of course). Sunflower seed is delicious. But most people will buy it because they already like it. They just see the sunflower seeds, not the packaging (sure, they don’t eat the packaging). But guess what? Packaging is like an SPG, beautiful SPG will get many customer. Time to re-design packaging…

TJHIA TJHIA Sunflower seeds is one of the sunflower seeds product. Actually, I already like the packaging (so why I re-packaged it???). The sunflower seeds are big and sweet...but I'm not gonna talking about that. The packaging was a pillow shape with a recycle paper. Though it has too many words (because the nutrition information are in 3 languages), but the layout is nice.

So. This is the re-design... made it from Artpaper with an old paper texture print and red sticker glossy lamination. I had search for it in many where, but I just found it in Angkasa Putra Digital Offset that time. 'Miss...we just have A2 sticker for printing...and it cost Rp70.000,00. with Rp15.000,00 of lamination glossy ...', said the man. I'm broke. I just want A5 and must print it in A2...

Perfect.

On the next day, I went to Print+, which near from my campus to print the concepts, and was shocked... 'Yes, we can print it in A5 sticker paper...', said the woman.

Life is cruel, friend...

New iPod Touch Limited Edition???

It's New iPod Touch Limited Edition! Just my hope... DKV mayor 3 project 2 was making casing design and layout magazine advertising(am I right?Looks like I'm wrong.lol, never mind). I chose iPod Touch's casing, therefore I just have to make the back side of it (yes cheating).

The Theme is DigiTree (again and again). It's technology concept for black casing and natural for red casing. The black one is for men, and the other one is for female.

I used Corel draw 5%, blender 3D 10%, and Photoshop 85%... Context family for fonts and minimized the layout..

10 Pills of Life

10 Pills of Life was my Final project of Book Design. Because it was a final deadline time for every subject, I did it in rush and it had a lot of mistakes here and there. Well it finished in time by the way…

Actually, I don’t really know what kind of book I made. It’s kind of prescription for heart medicine. I don’t talk about the liver, surely. I share some of my experience in this book. Just a simple way to makes us feel happy. It is how you realize that you are a happy person.

First Impression about Blender?

First project in Blender 3D was like a hell. It seems like everyone in my class understand easily while I just sitting with a 'blank mode'. Lucky, my class was full of angels(lol). I doubt I could finished this subject without them... :D

So. If you are freshmen in Blender, don't be shy to ask some friends or teachers (don't be shy if you look like a dumb...). Studying together is always better than studying alone if you really don't have a clue about what you have to do. It makes you smarter, it makes you have a lot of friends...

The Tree's Untold Story

It’s not DigiTree, but I still use tree for my identity. The final project of Typography2 was a story about the positive and negative things of us. So I named it ‘The Tree’s Untold Story’. It’s the best and the worst me ;D and because I’m just like a two eyed sword it make me easier to described myself (too simple to live, said my friend).

It contained each six characteristic, so I had to make 12 characteristic. The media was a 27x13.5 cm matte paper printed in Print+,  folded into two so I can have a little book of typography about myself.

First and second page are about myself universally. I made a contrast between left page and right page as for the good side and the bad side. In left, I used a soft color for describing my feminine side. In right, I used a strong color for describing my masculine ways.

I'm a cheerful person and always try to make anybody I cared smiles. There's a self pleasure and joy for me doing that. So don't get mistaken me as an angel ;D. When I'm in a bad day, I prefer to be alone. Showing my ugly bad mood face is not my hobby, precisely.

I'm an easy-going type. Never take a problems too much to my life. I don't like confrontation. I don't like to get angry. So better don't make me. Really hate the one who did it.

I'm an honest person. Is that a good thing? Well, in my experience, I think it's not.

I'm a hardworking, almost workaholic. Especially when I'm doing my interest subject. Prefer to be alone in front of my computer than to eat with my family (pardon me). But when I'm in my laziness mode, I locks my room and hibernate.

I'll be happy to try my best to give anything to my beloved ones. It's because they have my trust. If they lose it, doubt they'll have it back.

Blender Short Advertisement

On the fourth semester I took a 3D subject. With my error brain, it was a gambling because actually 3D subject is on the fifth semester, and I didn’t know if I could handle it or not. Thanks to my teacher who always have a patience for the student like me :D.

3D is very interesting. The class was so exciting. For the friendship of hardships…tears some blood…(I can go for more, but my friend is slapping me right now)

One semester, and without an invitation (surely we don’t have to take it home too), the final project came. It’s a 20minutes animation. I’m dead. No, I’m not really dead. Though I had turned like a zombie, I’m still alive, and definitely there’s no time to die that time.

My teacher told me not to take it as a burden. So I think I’ll just make something I like. It’s a short advertisement of self promotion. Of course with the same theme as before. So I started to search a tutorials ‘how to grow the tree’ in Blender, which we used for make a 3D.

I finished the Blender at 2.00AM. Gone to bed while waiting for the rendering and woke up at 7.00 AM and it STILL NOT done, not even a half-done. I had to give the files at 3.00 PM. So I tried to rendering it again in the other computer without an ambient occlusion. It turned darker, but it's done.

DigiTree Portfolio

This is my final computer project on my third semester. By using Flash program it’s kind of self promotion. Not really to ‘sell’ myself as a designer tough it’s simpler than that. But it contains my projects on my 3 semesters in Maranatha. So I better called it Portfolio.

I chose the ‘DigiTree’ for my theme. ‘Digi’ is from ‘digital’ and ‘Tree’ is from the spell of my name. A little narcist. Actually as a designer, I want to be known as a designer who can use whether it’s by a media digital helping or manual work. So I chose a digital to describe the modern designer and I chose the tree as a natural word for manual because all tools we use in manual work is came from nature.

Programming by Flash is quiet simple if we knew the design, though it really turned me into madness. I starred the timeline that had to be more than a hundred if I’m not wrong, just to make the ‘sparkle things’. And I made a wrong codes so the program didn't work (definitely my mistake). The presentation was the day after and I decided to commit a suicide until my mother came home and said that there was an ice cream for me. Sure, why not?

So. It was the day. I didn’t rest. I didn’t eat (except the ice cream). But for God’s sake, I took a bath. I was the last person to present my project and thank God there was no question (still don’t know if it's because they really don’t have an idea about what I’m presenting about or it’s because they were to be about to die in cause of hunger or sleepy, just like me). Miserable. My teacher and his friend (who is a teacher too) gave me some advice. Wow cool, they can see all my mistakes ('all' means 'all my presentation' -_-). But after that, it was a relieved thing. Gotta fix it first, actually…
